Holding on to Baggage
There was once a small town in the middle of nowhere. At dusk, a man while looking at the night time sky, noticed a large bear in a tree! Worried about what could happen if the bear came down, apprehensive about moving on from its surroundings, nervous about waking the bear, he tip-toed to summons his neighbors to decide what they should do! In a panic, they contacted the zoo keeper, the police, animal control in terror of what would happen. As daybreak arrived, to their surprise what they thought in fear was only a large bag of garbage!
Scripture is clear, 2 Chronicles 20:15 The Lord says this to you: ‘Don’t be afraid or worry about this large army, because the battle is not your battle. It is God’s battle!
The large bear in the tree is everything that distracts you from spending time with “our” LORD.
Worry creates an element of fear that paralyses us from taking action! We become over anxious!
Remove the bags in your life and choose to live in Grace! Remember the bible says in 2 Kings 6:16, He replied, "Don't be afraid, for our side outnumbers them." The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, with us are more than that “bear baggage” that be with them. (paraphrased).
I welcome your thoughts!
In Him,
